Regulate your nervous system and improve your flexibility, circulation, and energy flow.

This practice uses props such as bolsters, blocks, and blankets to support the body in passive poses, allowing for deep relaxation and healing. Poses are held for 2-3 minutes for deep tissue release and breathwork is emphasized to promote a strong mind-body connection. The focus being to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting the body out of the sympathetic ‘’fight or flight’’ response, and into a ‘’rest and digest’’ state, therefore reducing stress hormones and resting heart rate.

** Please bring your own small blanket to enhance the practice.

This practice is beneficial for anyone but, it can be especially beneficial for people who are:

  • Learning to manage chronic pain
  • Struggling with insomnia or trouble sleeping
  • Healing from trauma
  • Recovering from an injury
  • Dealing with muscle tension, muscle spasms, pain and stiffness
  • Feeling stressed or overstimulated
  • Looking to better their mental health or manage a diagnosis
  • Dealing with digestive issues and/or high blood pressure

Stephanie Guindon

Hi everyone! My name is Stephanie Renee Guindon and I have been a certified yoga teacher (330 hours training) since 2020. I have been teaching various styles of yoga to adults and children for roughly 7 years in gyms, fitness/wellness centres, daycares, Early ON Child and Family Centres, schools, and online. My teacher training was completed through Toronto’s Yoga Tree Studio and Rainbow Kids Yoga. Along with being a CYT, I am also a Registered Health and Exercise Practitioner through the Ontario Fitness Council, with a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion. I am very passionate in the holistic health and wellness field and in helping others with their healing. I will also be going back to school in the fall for massage therapy to further my skills and knowledge. I look forward to meeting and practicing with everyone!

Had my very first ever yoga class and it was amazing. The class was small which is perfect for anyone who doesn’t like large groups. Stephanie was a great instructor. She showed a few different modifications to the poses to make everyone feel comfortable in what their body was able to do, and she created a very peaceful and calming environment. This particulate yoga class was very calming and relaxing and was a great introduction to yoga. Will definitely sign up for more classes!
