Are you curious about Tarot? Have you bought a deck that sits dusty on your shelf because it seems daunting and you’re uncertain where to start? Do you read Tarot but are not sure if you’re “doing it right” or getting the most out of your cards? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this course is for you!

Tarot is not simple fortune telling. Rather, it is a tool for intuitively exploring questions about the self for the purpose of self-discovery. Tarot empowers you to move forward in your life with the wisdom and knowledge you need to make informed decisions that will help you improve your life and to achieve your goals and desires.

In this course, you will be introduced to the Tarot and learn to read the cards with ease, using a variety of spreads. You will be surprised by how quickly you begin to understand the cards while also learning more about yourself. Soon you’ll be confident to read cards for yourself and others.  

Using the prolific Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot (RWS), known as “the beginner’s deck”, you will learn how to:

  • Understand the structure and “stories” that make up the Tarot.

  • Read the cards visually, intuitively, and with the traditional meanings.

  • Interpret the universal meanings of all 78 cards in many popular Tarot spreads, including the Celtic Cross.

  • Consecrate, attune, cleanse, and care for your cards.

  • Handle “bad” cards, “jumper” cards, and unclear readings.

  • Incorporate crystals and other spiritual and aesthetic enhancements.

  • Survey over 20 different Tarot decks from the instructor’s personal collection.

  • Select the deck that’s right for you if you wish to explore beyond the RWS deck.

  • “Tarot Cheat Sheet” for quick reference to traditional card meanings

  • Study materials (including 78 full colour Tarot card stickers for creating study cue cards)

Please bring a notepad or journal to take notes during each session.

Jeanne LePage is an Ontario Certified Teacher who has taught for 30+ years at the Elementary, College, and University levels. As a trained workshop presenter, she has developed and delivered educational courses and workshops to teachers. She has over 30 years of experience reading Tarot cards and is currently building a divination business called “Thalia Mystic Readings”, which offers Tarot Card Readings, Tarot Tile Casting, and Tarot Teacup Readings.
